By accessing or using k|noto ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

2. Description of Service

k|noto is a personal productivity application that allows users to manage tasks, documents, and subscriptions. The Application is available as a desktop application for macOS and Windows, and as a web application.

3. User Accounts

You may use k|noto in two modes:

  • Local Mode: No account required. All data is stored locally on your device.
  • Cloud Mode: Requires account creation. Data is synchronized across devices via our servers.

When creating an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Application for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Application's services
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the Application to store or transmit malicious code

5. Intellectual Property

The Application, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by pitri.net and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your content (tasks, documents, notes) remains your property. You retain all rights to content you create within the Application.

6. Data and Backups

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While we strive to provide reliable service, we cannot guarantee against data loss. The Application provides export functionality to help you maintain copies of your data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pitri.net shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Application.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Application or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
